Professor Rick Nordheim of the University of Wisconsin Statistics Deparment will be the first VEF (Vietnam Education Foundation) Scholar to work at our department.

With funding from VEF he will teach the course Statistics in Biology. This is an innovative course for our department and our university. For the first time, two departments, The Math & Computer Science Fac. and the Biology Fac. will cooperate, with instructors and students from both departments participating.

Professor Nordheim will arrive to teach on location at the beginning and at the end of the Fall Semester, 2010. During the semester he will teach via video-conference.
