Title: An introduction to the theory of periodic homogenization of Hamilton-Jacobi equations.

Abstract:
Homogenization theory is one of the most active research areas in PDEs currently. I will explain some main aspects of this theory such as the origin of the problems, formal asymptotic expansions, the perturbed test function method, rate of convergences, etc. At the end, I will also address some active research directions and some open problems. No specific prerequisite is needed, though some familiarity with viscosity solutions is great. Four lectures.
