The Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science is organizing an orientation session titled 'Specialized Orientation for 2022 Cohort Students', with details as follows:

  1. Purpose:
    • To provide an overview of the Mathematics group programme (including Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and Mathematics and Computer Science) for students enrolled in the 2022 cohort.
    • To offer detailed information about the specializations within the Mathematics group for the 2022 cohort, specifically regarding the training program, regulations on seminars/graduation thesis/internships, job opportunities, and to help students make informed decisions when choosing a specialization that matches their abilities and interests. (Note: 2022 cohort students who have already registered for a specialization can make a final change to their major/specialization during the middle of the 1st semester of the 2024-2025 academic year.)
    • To answer any questions from students related to course registration, subject selection, etc.
  1. Time and Venue:

    • Time: Thursday afternoon, August 22, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
    • Venue: The session will be held online via Zoom. The Zoom link will be updated on this announcement before the session and sent via email to registered students. Students are reminded to log in with their names formatted as follows: Student ID_Full Name.

     

  2. Target Audience:

    • All students in the Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and Mathematics and Computer Science groups from the 2022 cohort.
    • Students from other cohorts may attend if interested.

     

  3. Registration:

    • Register for the session here. Students can submit questions in advance via a Google form to be addressed during the session.
