PGS.TS Bùi Quốc Tính có buổi nói chuyện thân mật về việc học tập - nghiên cứu cơ học trong trường Đại học và ứng dụng trong công nghiệp cũng như các ngành khoa học khác. Ngoài ra PGS.TS Bùi Quốc Tính cũng trình bày một số nghiên cứu mới nhất của mình về phương pháp tính toán cho mô hình hóa vết nứt trong cấu trúc vật liệu.

Nôi dung vắn tắt (Abstract): In this talk, we will present some advanced numerical approaches in modeling failure and damage of engineering materials and structures. The lecture generally consists of three main parts: (1) to discuss some issues regarding computational mechanics, presenting some recent contributions on failure analysis of materials and structures, addressing some common failure problems; (2) to present the recently developed gradient-enhanced damage model for quasi-brittle materials (e.g., concrete); and (3) to show some applications of computational intelligence, machine learning, and stochastic high performance computing in, for instance, modeling failure of spot-welds in car-bodies. In case, time allowed, some other issues related to the field of computational mechanics will be discussed.
