Objective: To provide a first encounter to complex function Theory of 1 variable, with some applications to Physical and Engineering sciences.

Prerequisite: Some background in Advanced Calculus is preferable.

Language: Proficiency in English is NOT Necessary

Disclaimer: Under time constraints, this syllabus could be altered ; in such cases, appropriate modifications will be tailored to students’ needs and interests; in particular priorities will be given to topics related to O.D.E. and/or P.D.E.

Homeworks: On this issue, students are strongly encouraged to collaborate with each other; however they are expected to write their own solutions: clear and concise.

Dưới sự hướng dẫn của Giáo Hugo E. Rossi, Giáo Tan bảo vệ luận án tiến năm 1974 tại Đại học Brandeis, với tên luận án On the Classification of q-Convex Complex Spaces by their Compact Analytic Subvarieties.
