• Tóm tắt báo cáo: Within the framework of the analysis of the sensitivity to the early diseased stage in diagnostic tests, we address the problem of making inferences about a true class fraction (TCF), given the remaining two. More precisely, we aim at taking into account the influence that covariates might have on the performance of the diagnostic tests. Therefore, we propose a procedure to estimate the covariate-specific TCF₂, i.e., the covariate-specific probability θ₂ of correct classification at second class, when the values for the true class fractions at first and third classes, θ₁ and θ₃, are fixed. Our approach is grounded in quantile regression techniques and logistic regression modeling applied to a constructed “working” binary sample. Specifically, we exploit quantile regressions to estimate covariate-specific thresholds corresponding to fixed values of θ₁ and θ₃. These thresholds are then used to generate a “working” binary sample at specified covariate values. Subsequently, logistic regression is employed to estimate the covariate-specific TCF₂. Additionally, we extend our methodology to estimate covariate-adjusted TCF₂, maintaining fixed values for θ₁ and θ₃. We proved that the proposed estimators for both covariate-specific and covariate-adjusted TCF₂ are consistent and asymptotically normal. Lastly, we focus on illustrating our method through an application to a real-world dataset.

Seminar được trình bày nhân dịp NCS Gloria Remoli chuyến làm việc trao đổi nghiên cứu 2 tháng của cô tại Bộ môn Xác suất - Thống kê, Khoa Toán - Tin học. Buổi seminar này là cơ hội giao lưu học thuật giữa sinh viên, học viên cao học, giảng viên và các nhà nghiên cứu trong lĩnh vực phương pháp thống kê trong y – sinh học. Bài báo cáo của NCS Gloria Remoli xoay quanh chủ đề về phương pháp thống kê đánh giá khả năng phân loại bệnh nhân bị bệnh ở giai đoạn sớm của một xét nghiệm chẩn đoán y khoa, dưới tác động của các hiệp biến, chẳng hạn, độ tuổi, giới tính.
